Auckland Festival Launch – So Far

We were asked to create a work that will create discussion and debate about the birth of a New Major Arts Festival in New Zealand. In response, Mike Mizrahi and Marie Adams flooded the city square, wrote and staged a short opera in the water. Music by Gareth Farr, Co-written with Paul Horan.

Tourism NZ – Flooded Fox Studio, Sydney

Mike Mizrahi and Marie Adams organized an event to bring The Americas Cup back to Cowes in England for the 1st time in 150 years! We then staged a top shelf event in a flooded Fox Studio in Sydney aimed at creating a paradigm shift in Australian perceptions of New Zealand. Appearances from Black Grace, Wearable Arts, Brook Fraser, Hinewehi Mohi, Sam Neil Jay Lagaia, and the Prime Minister of New Zealand The Right Honourable Helen Clark were set in front of 30m projection screen, reflecting images of NZ landscape, in the surrounding water. In 2005 we staged events around The Toi Maori Eternal thread exhibition. We staged a dawn ceremony around the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and the opening of the exhibition. In 2006 we staged a series of events in Valencia, Spain to promote New Zealand in our challenge for the America’s Cup.

This year we are promoting New Zealand by placing the giant inflatable Rugby ball shaped venue under the shadow of The Tokyo Tower in Japan. Working with our design team we created two world first’s in design, an air structure in this unusual shape, and a full immersion video system that will transport people to New Zealand. This venue will the tour with the All Blacks to the world’s great rugby nations as a promotional build up for New Zealand who host the Rugby World Cup in 2011.

Tourism NZ – Rugby Ball Paris

In October 2007 we successfully promoted New Zealand by placing a giant inflatable Rugby ball shaped venue under the shadow of The Eiffel Tower in Paris for the Rugby World Cup. Working with the design team Mike Mizrahi and Marie Adams created a world first’s in design; an air structure in this unusual shape, and a full immersion video system that transports people to New Zealand. This venue will tour with the All Blacks to the world’s great rugby nations as a promotional build up for New Zealand who host the Rugby World Cup in 2011.
